TRX Products

TRX creates a unique suspension trainer that offers an all-in-one fitness method powered by bodyweight to sweat, sculpt, and strengthen. These straps can be used anywhere (seriously). The TRX website and mobile apps focus on selling straps and providing world-class workout content. I worked with the team to make sure the digital experience could keep up with the straps on the go.

Mobile First Shopping Experience

TRX's business is built on its iconic yellow and black suspension trainers. These straps are the foundation of the business and act as a gateway to in-person classes, workout videos, and additional swag. If you like TRX, you love TRX. The goal was to get more straps into more hands.

In 2016 the existing TRX mobile web shopping experience was lackluster. Even though more customers were coming to the website on their mobile devices, checkout conversion and add-to-cart metrics were down. I led an initiative to create a mobile-first web shopping experience to improve funnel metrics and imbue the online experience with a modern take on their brand.

Mobile Influencing Web

Fast forward a few years and take a look at the TRX desktop website. You’ll see that these mobile designs have influenced the full TRX digital experience. The modern aesthetic, bold use of the TRX yellow, and emphasis on clear, simple calls to action is their unified approach to commerce online.

Enhancing TRX Home+ App

While we had initially explored making a zero-to-one app, there was the existing TRX Home+ app that was popular but needed to be enhanced. TRX was moving away from the military design style and had some historic bugs and missing features that power users had been wanting for years. I worked with them to run usability tests and simplify the app by keeping only the most useful workout features.
